Every once in awhile someone comes into your life and
performs an act of thoughtfulness.
These random acts of kindness restore one's belief that
there are still caring and loving people on this earth.
The thing that sticks out in my mind is that
they do not really know you, but they know your hurt or loss.
Most times they have suffered similar experiences themselves,
or know of someone close to them that has.
My special someone was Una Brennan, a cancer survivor, who read one of my posts
several weeks ago and responded with kind words and
an offer to send me some books that might interest me.
She sent me 4 little books with inspiration and lovely thoughts.
I read them through and plan to read them again. My husband read them too. She also sent some lovely postcards with pictures of Ireland. I just wanted to say, "Thank You Una."
I hope you got my email and I wanted everyone who comes to my blog to know just what a kind soul you are. May God Bless You and help you to enjoy restored health my friend.

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and thoughtful treat to have received. Aren't our blog friends just the best. Hope you are taking it easy. I'm taking a day off from the hook to work on travel for March, but I needed a break after adding up all the $$$$.
